Though known widely for his pottery, I'm more fond of Russel Wright's furniture. Wright was an early American Modernist whose designs were simple but not austere. His work is very approachable, often a little chunky and playful. Given this, many of his pieces still feel relevant today. Here we have a rare pair of chairs designed in 1935 for his "American Modern" line. Constructed in maple with the original vinyl seats, the pair is in good original condition and are emblematic of his design approach. For an additional fee, they can be reupholstered to your spec.
